Falafel Balls
500 gram raw chickpeas Tbsp baking soda 3-4 slices bread ½ bulb garlic 1 med onion ½ cup fresh coriander or parsley 3 Tbsp cumin 1 Tbsp turmeric 1 Tbsp salt ¼ cup water Oil for frying Soak chickpeas overnight in water with baking soda. Puree in food processor with the rest of ingredients Form into 1” balls and deep fry in oil 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Makes approx 80 balls.
